You've
Read the Comics,
Now Here's How You Can Help:
9/11 shook us all.
The following outpour of support gave us all--especially those
directly affected by the tragedy--reason to hope.
The clean-up and restoration efforts continue to this day, however,
both at Ground Zero, and among the families and friends of those
who were lost.
There's
a good deal more work to be done, and help needed to do it.
The
Salvation Army is currently giving their efforts to the cause,
under the umbrella of their relief operation "Compassion
Under Fire." (Info on the program is available on the
Eastern US
regional Salvation Army website.) Although the Webcomic Tribute
Project is not affiliated with the Salvation Army, we feel that
this is a charitable organization, and a relief program, well
worth our support.
To
that end, we encourage any of you who have read the works on this
site to make a donation to the Salvation Army's "Compassion
Under Fire" project. You can donate by phone or mail by
calling 1-800-725-2769. You can also
donate on the Web by clicking on the link image below. In both
cases, when prompted for the program you'd like your donation
to go to, please mention "Compassion Under
Fire". Of course, you can also choose to let the Salvation
Army allocate your donation as they feel it will best serve them.
We're
not asking that you donate a specific amount; any amount will
undoubtedly help. It is the reason we're doing this. Please help
our Project make a difference.
Thank
you!
